"Good dog's get rewards." Sylas knelt once more, a crimson leash in his hands, matching the collar around Lorne's neck. He clicked the attachment twice. "Will you continue to behave?"

The last of his resistance—and his pride—shoved down, Lorne barked. He crawled awkwardly out of the cage, eyes to the floor, and held still to be leashed. The hand hooking it in place reached to scratch behind his 'ears'.

With a pained expression, Lorne wiggled his ass to wag the tail. Sylas's smug satisfaction was palpable.

"So long in that cage, you could use some exercise."

Lorne no longer felt cold. Shame burned him from the inside out, red creeping into his pale skin.
